The Ray White Takanini & Karaka teams had an exciting day on 29 February as they were whisked away on a bus to attend their annual business planning day. Not only would they be participating in the planning session, but they would also have the opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the first quarter of the year.
The venue for the day was the magnificent Kauri Bay Boomrock event centre, known for its stunning panoramic views of the Hauraki Gulf.
Leading the business planning session was none other than Michael Sheargold, Australia’s renowned business performance and real estate success coach. Michael’s expertise has earned him two nominations for the Industry Thought Leader category at the Real Estate Business Awards.
Upon arrival, each attendee received a personalised learning journal with their name on it. Michael encouraged them to carry this journal with them at all times, using it to jot down valuable nuggets of information and ideas. This would ensure that everything was kept together, rather than scattered on random scraps of paper that are easily lost.
Throughout the session, Michael stressed the importance of goal setting in achieving one’s desired market position. He emphasized the need for strategic management and building strong client relationships. With his engaging coaching approach, he fostered an atmosphere of open discussion, encouraging everyone to ask questions and actively participate. The session concluded with teams creating their own personalised success plans for 2024, setting the stage for personal and professional growth.
After a productive morning of learning and planning, the team had the chance to relax and have some fun. They enjoyed swinging a few balls on the driving range or playing cornhole while the event organisers transformed the space for lunch. The tables were set up in a picturesque setting, providing breathtaking views as the backdrop.
The gourmet cuisine at Kauri Boomrock never failed to impress. The team indulged in a variety of delectable seasonal dishes, including mouthwatering caraway and fennel seed bread rolls with seaweed butter, slow-braised coastal lamb shoulder with heirloom tomatoes, and free-range butterflied chicken with tarragon salsa verde, among others.
The highlight of the day was the awards ceremony, where outstanding individuals and teams were recognized for their efforts and achievements in the first quarter. The list of award recipients was extensive, showcasing the talent and dedication within the Takanini and Karaka offices.
The day ended on a high note, filled with gratitude for everyone involved in making the event a success. Special thanks were given to the leadership team, Peter Belcher, Katie Rawson-Massey, and Rachel Johnson, for their dedication and passion. With such a memorable and productive business planning day, the teams were ready to embark on an exciting journey of growth and success in 2024 and beyond.
